Course Objectives.
- This course is designed for the advanced pianist to sequentially develop essential keyboard sight-reading skills through the use of technical skills that improve awareness of keyboard topography; selected keyboard repertoire with varying textures, styles, and pedagogical issues; melodic and harmonic transposition exercises to develop intervallic reading skills; harmonization exercises to improve awareness of harmonic relationships; score reading exercises; rhythmic exercises to develop sense of pulse.

Course Objectives.
- To get a practical chance of teaching the beginning level of students (group & private) à Including self-critic and colleague or instructor’s advise
- To introduce teaching materials appropriate for beginning and elementary students.
- To approach more pedagogical aspect in piano playing à more focus on the teacher’s side rather than performer’s view.
- To discuss technical and musical problem regarding the performance: developing finger technique, relaxed arms and shoulders, memorization problem, performance anxiety..etc.
- To study the piano pedagogy literature relating to modern piano playing and address the pedagogical issue in the keyboard history (from 18th century to the contemporary)
